In December, a 7MW solar power generation plant co-owned by Inovateus Solar and Alterra Power in Kokomo Indiana is now operational. The solar generation plant will supply energy directly to Duke Energy Indiana in the first of many generation plants in the region. This plant provides 7,000,000 kWh to the residents of Kokomo Indiana.

The project, turnkey EPC by Inovateus with the support from Duke Energy, the City of Kokomo, IDEM, the EPA, Alterra Power, and 1st Source Bank will use the former Continental Steel parcel, a remediated superfund site that’s been vacant for more than a decade due to pollution and produce enough clean energy for thousands of supportive Kokomo residents.
